BRUSHAROO PROGRAM
(FOR PARENTS & FAMILIES) The Brusharoo Program is a fun, school-based oral health education experience delivered by Smiles on Wheels. Through storytelling and interactive learning, children build simple, lifelong habits that support healthy teeth and positive attitudes toward dental care. Designed to be engaging, age-appropriate, and easy to remember. WHY PARENTS LOVE IT Brusharoo helps children learn positive oral health habits early - without fear or pressure. It supports:
OPTIONAL FOLLOW-UP CARE After the Brusharoo session, families may choose to access gentle preventive dental care through Smiles on Wheels – Brusharoo Smile Days. This may include:
Eligible children may access care through the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS). Health fund rebates may also apply where eligible. You can check your child’s eligibility online Access CDBS patient information – Health professionals – Services Australia or by calling Services Australia 132 150. Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) Once parents contact Smiles on Wheels, we will provide a Consent and Medical Information Form for completion prior to the visit. After we receive the completed form, we will check your child’s eligibility for the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) on your behalf. If your child is eligible, we will let you know before the appointment. Eligible children can access bulk billed dental care through the CDBS for a range of preventive services, meaning there are no out-of-pocket costs for covered treatment. If Your Child Is Not Eligible for CDBS For children who are not eligible for the CDBS, the fee for our Early Learning Centre dental visit is $95 per child. This includes:
Payment is required prior to the visit. A receipt will be provided following treatment. Families with private health insurance may be able to claim a rebate depending on their level of cover. If you have any questions or are unsure about eligibility, we’re happy to help when you get in touch. Services may be provided at participating centres, in the community, or at home where appropriate. |
