WHAT IS BRUSHAROO?
Brusharoo is a fun, interactive oral health education program delivered by Smiles on Wheels. Through storytelling, puppetry and hands-on learning, children build healthy habits and positive attitudes towards caring for their teeth.
Why Early Childhood Matters
The early years are one of the most important times for establishing lifelong healthy habits.
Brusharoo helps children learn positive oral health behaviours in a fun, engaging environment where learning feels like play.
By introducing healthy messages early, we can help children build confidence, reduce fear around dental visits, and encourage healthy smiles for life.
WHAT CHILDREN LEARN
Children are introduced to key preventive oral health messages, including:
✔ Brushing twice daily (morning and night)
✔ How sugar affects teeth
✔ Healthy food and drink choices
✔ Building positive daily habits
✔ Feeling confident about caring for their teeth
THE BRUSHAROO PROGRAM
Every Brusharoo visit includes:
- Interactive Brusharoo Show
- Oral health education
- Take-home family resources
- Optional Brusharoo Smile Day.
Sessions are fun, interactive and tailored to suit the age and size of each group

OPTIONAL BRUSHAROO SMILE DAY
Following the Brusharoo session, Families who wish to access further preventive dental care are welcome to do so through Smiles on Wheels.
With parental consent, children may receive:
✔ Dental examination
✔ Professional dental clean
✔ Fluoride treatment (where clinically appropriate)
✔ Preventive oral health advice
Eligible children may receive these services through the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS).
Families are always free to continue seeing their regular dentist.
